Solar power plants produce energy using the rays of the sun. Solar energy does not pollute the air and is good for the environment. With the amount of energy the sun supplies us with, we can heat and provide energy to many things, easily. Solar energy is being used more and more, though can be hard to get a lot of energy in one spot, making solar energy sometimes hard to use. Solar panels can be found on cars, houses, and some devices like calculators. Another downside though, is when it is night, cloudy, or the sun isn't out, the solar panels can't collect the sun's rays.
Solar panels are being added to many things to make things more efficient, and to save energy. In a solar power plant, the sun heats the solar panels and heats a bowl of water. That water turns into steam, from the heat, and the steam blows turbines. The turbines then create electricity.
One reason why solar energy isn't being used everywhere yet is because of the cost. Buying solar panels can be very expensive. The government is working very hard to help make the prices of solar panels lower and decrease. Though, on the up side, solar energy is renewable and will save us from the time when fossil fuels run out. When fossil fuels run out, solar energy can provide us with energy. Though if the prices don't go down, then maybe solar power will not be used a lot, so hopefully the government will lower the price of solar power panels to save energy and fossil fuels!
The ehow website said how the construction of power plants can be a problem. The best places with the most sunshine are habitats for animals. Building solar panels for solar energy can ruin these environments and disturb some wildlife.
So solar energy is a great way to get a stable supply of electricity. In the power plants electricity is formed. Many people use solar energy which saves us from using fossil fuels! Solar power plants do have their ups and downs though. Maybe, in the future, everybody will be using solar energy!
