Hydroelectricity is a renewable energy . The production of hydropower is the electrical power throughuse of flowing water A hydraulic turbine converts the energy of flowing water into mechanical energy. A hydroelectric generator converts this mechanical energy in to electricity. Hydroelectric power provides electricity for homes and businesses. Hydropower can quickly increase or decrease the electricity being generated. Hydropower is air pollution free and doesn't create toxic byproducts. Another good thing about hydropower is that it also conserves wildlife lands and habitats, provide water supply, and support heat.

Hydroelectric energy is good because it changes water to energy which helps the environment.
